Elif Aytekin

The Turkish soprano Elif Aytekin was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Meiningen State Theater from 2012 to 2021.

There she took on roles such as Lucia (LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR), Gilda (RIGOLETTO), Elvira (I PURITANI), Fiordiligi (COSI FAN TUTTE), Magda (LA RONDINE), Micaela (CARMEN), Gretel (HANSEL UND GRETEL) and Violetta ( LA TRAVIATA). She also made guest appearances as Violetta at the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden.

From 2008 to 2012 Elif Aytekin was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Theater Pforzheim, where she performed the roles of Adele (DIE FLEDERMAUS), Nannetta (FALSTAFF), Calisto (Cavallis LA CALISTO) and Aennchen (DER FRESCHÜTZ). In 2014 she made a guest appearance there as Konstanze (THE ENTFUTURE FROM THE SERAIL). She has also performed in concerts with renowned orchestras (including the Baden Philharmonic, the German State Philharmonic of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Thuringia Philharmonic of Gotha Eisenach and the Meininger Hofkapelle).

During her engagement at the opera studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich (2007/08) she appeared as the Taumännchen (HANSEL UND GRETEL), The Child (DIE KÖNIGSKINDER), and the carrier (ELEKTRA) at the State Opera and at the Munich Opera Festival, among others. She sang at the opening concert of BMW World and as Blonde (DIE ENTFUHRUNG FROM DEM SERAIL) in concert performances at the Theater für Niedersachsen Hildesheim.

In her childhood, Elif Aytekin was a member of the Children and Youth Choir of the Izmir State Opera for seven years, later studied at the Opera Department of the State Conservatory in Izmir, graduating with honors. In 2001 she won first prize in the Siemens competition in Istanbul and was therefore awarded a scholarship to attend master classes at the Summer Academy of the Mozarteum in Salzburg. From 2001 to 2006 she was a member of the opera choir of the Antalya State Opera. In addition, Elif Aytekin was also a soprano soloist in a musical project of the Antalya State Opera with the aim of bringing classical music and opera closer to the Turkish public. In 2006 she took on the roles of Le Feu/Le Rossignol/La Pastourelle in Ravel’s L’ENFANT ET LES SORTILÈGES at the European Opera Center (performances in Liverpool and a tour of Greece). She sang the soprano solo part in MOZART.MÜZIK – a project by Voices eV in Nuremberg (Tafelhalle) and in Berlin.

Her singing teacher is the Polish tenor Roman Werlinski.
